Kraken

The Kraken is an incredibly easy boss with few mechanics and rewarding drops. Like its smaller brethren, the Kraken is submerged underwater. Magic is the only reliable way of dealing damage to it, as Ranged attacks are heavily reduced, and Melee cannot be used. To start the fight, four whirlpools must be disturbed; when all four whirlpools are disturbed, the larger one can be disturbed, which will result in the Kraken waking up. Both methods will release level 112 Enormous Tentacles, which attack with typeless attacks.

• 87+ Slayer.
• Must be on a Kraken slayer task.

• 95+ Magic: Fire Surge.
• 45 Prayer for Mystic Might
  • Recommended: 78+ Prayer: Leech Magic, Curses prayer.

Auras & Relics

	Divinity - Prayer points drain 10% slower.
	Overclocked - Aura cooldown is reduced by 20% and auras last 10% longer.
	String of Luck - Offers a 10% luck boost (excludes raids).
	Stroke of Luck - Offers a 10% chance to double monster drop loot.
	Catch em All - Offers 50% higher drop rate on all pets.
	Master Reverence - Slows down prayer drain and increases prayer restoration from potions by 7%.
	Penance - Gain prayer points equal to 5% of any damage you receive.

Gear Setup

The Kraken is weak to Magic so your best in slot magic damage setup is recommended. Do not worry about any defensive properties as the boss deals minimal damage.

Getting There

North of home, utilize the Portal Nexus 'Search' function and type "Kraken".

Enter the cave and run north. Enter the 'Crevice' to begin a boss encounter.

Boss Fight

• Phase 1 - Whirpools: Using any shortbow and arrow combination, attack each sleeping whirlpool to awaken the tentacles: GIF
