Barrows

The Barrows minigame is an area-based combat minigame. The minigame is named after the six burial mounds in which the Barrows brothers were entombed after their deaths during the Third Age.

During this minigame, players attempt to rob valuable items from the Barrows brothers' crypts. However, due to an ancient spell, the brothers' wights continued to dwell in the barrows, protecting these treasures.

Barrows is a popular minigame due to the potential of receiving valuable rewards, including the unique Barrows equipment. The objective is to defeat the six Barrows brothers and open the rewards chest.

Requirements

• 43+ Prayer: Protect from Magic, Missiles, and Melee.
• 50+ Magic: For Iban's Blast
• 60+ Attack: (If using melee.)
• 60+ Strength: (If using melee.)
• 50+ Ranged.

Auras & Relics

These are not mandatory in completing the minigame but they can be very beneficial at times. Barrows is fairly easy overall so don't think these are 100% required in order to partake.

Gear Setup

4/6 of the Barrows Brothers are weak to Magic so your best in slot magic damage setup is recommended. A ranged switch is also recommended due to Ahrim's higher magic defense.

	Master Reverence - Slows down prayer drain and increases prayer restoration from potions by 7%.
	Divinity - Prayer points drain 10% slower.
	Overclocked - Aura cooldown is reduced by 20% and auras last 10% longer.
	String of Luck - Offers a 10% luck boost (excludes raids).
	Catch em All - Offers 50% higher drop rate on all pets.

Getting There

North of home, utilize the Portal Nexus 'Search' function and type "Barrows".

After teleporting to Barrows, open your minimap and become familiar with the location of each brother's crypt. This will allow you to prepare ahead of time for which combat style to use and what overhead prayer to protect.

Dharok the Wretched Dharok's set effect is Wretched Strength, which increases his max hit by 1% for every Hitpoint missing. Always use protect from melee!	Ahrim the Blighted Ahrim's set effect is Blighted aura, which gives him a 20% chance per successful hit to drain 5 strength points. Always protect from mage!	Verac the Defiled Verac's set effect is Defile, which gives him a 25% chance per attack to ignore Defence, armour bonuses and protection prayers. Always protect from melee!	Torag the Corrupted Torag's set effect is Corruption, which gives him a 25% chance per successful hit to lower the player's energy by 20%. Always protect from melee!	Karil the Tainted Karil's set effect is Tainted Shot, which provides a 25% chance to lower the enemies agility by 20%. Always protect from ranged!	Guthan the Infested Guthan's set effect is Infestation, which gives him a 25% chance per successful hit to heal back the damage dealt to his enemy. Always protect from melee!

Boss Fight

• Tips: A strategy to get faster kills is to enter the empty tomb and proceed to enter a door within the chest room. This door will spawn one of the living brothers. Once all five have been killed the sixth one will spawn from the chest itself.
• While underground anywhere in the Barrows area, the brothers' faces will occasionally appear on-screen, draining a considerable amount of Prayer points every 18 seconds. The amount of prayer drained begins at eight prayer points, and increases by one for each brother killed, for a maximum of fourteen once all six brothers are killed. Since the area prayer drain is so significant you ought to take several steps to speed up your kills and minimise the time you spend underground in order to save on prayer potions and thus maximise profits.
• Using combat boosting prayers such as Mystic Might will only increase your damage output when your magic attack is too low to consistently hit the brothers as it only increases magical accuracy and not damage. Praying Eagle Eye or Rigour against Ahrim when using ranged will always speed up kills, as well as praying Chivalry, Piety, or Incredible Reflexes and Ultimate Strength when using Melee against Karil. The idea is that using combat boosting prayers will drain less prayer points than the area effect. Using protection prayers also means you don't have to spend time consuming food and can instead damage your opponent, further reducing area prayer drain. Try to drink your prayer potions and eat your food while above ground.
