Herblore is a skill that allows players to make their own potions from herbs and various secondary ingredients.

Potions created with the Herblore skill have a variety of effects. Most potions can be drunk to give players temporary skill boosts or other status effects, such as anti-fire or anti-poison. Effects of temporary skill boosts degrade at roughly 1 level per minute until they have entirely worn off. Brimstone keys, chaos druids, bossing, and farming are just a few notable methods to obtain a large amount of herbs.

YOU CAN USE 4 DOSE POTIONS TO MAKE OTHER POTIONS. EXAMPLE: USING 4 DOSE SUPER POTIONS FOR MAKING 4 DOSE EXTREME POTIONS.

Cleaning Herbs & Unfinished Potions

Cleaning herbs is a simple task you have to perform before you can add a herb to a vial of water to create an unfinished potion.

Potions

Potions act as a temporary skill boost. Once you add a herb to a vial of water, you get an unfinished potion; then, you must add a secondary ingredient to finish the potion completely. A newly finished vial of potion contains three (3) doses of the potion. Some higher-level potions require a vial of coconut milk or vial of blood to be used instead of water.

Obtaining Secondary Ingredients

Herblore ingredients come from three primary sources: farming, monster drops, and shops.

Training Herblore

Level 1-45

Silver Botanist.png You can train Herblore passively from level 1 by unlocking the Botanist Silver Relic and farming herbs. With this relic, you will auto clean the herbs you farm and gain passive XP during your farm runs.

Alternatively, you can begin training by creating the highest level potion available. This would include:

  • Attack potion (3).pngAttack Potions - Level 1 - 12. Requires Guam and Eye of Newt.
  • Strength potion (3).pngStrength Potions - Level 12 - 30. Requires Tarromin and Limpwurt Root.
  • Defence potion (3).pngDefence Potions - Level 30 - 38. Requires Ranarr and White Berries.
  • Prayer potion (3).pngPrayer Potions - Level 38 to 50. Requires Ranarr and Snape Grass.

Level 45-55

  • Super attack potion (3).pngFrom level 45 to 55 you will be creating Super Attack Potions. The ingredients required are an Irit Herb and an Eye of Newt.

Level 55-66

  • Super strength potion (3).pngFrom level 55 to 66 you will be creating Super Strength Potions. The ingredients required are a Kwuarm Herb and Limpwurt Root.

Level 66-81

  • Super defence potion (3).pngFrom level 66 to 81 you will be creating Super Defence Potions. The ingredients required are a Cadantine Herb and White Berries.

Level 81-83

  • Saradomin brew (3).pngFrom level 81 to 83 you will be creating Saradomin Brews. The ingredients required are a Toadflax Herb and Crushed Bird Nests.

Level 83-91

At level 83, we will begin boosting to make Extreme Attack Potions. Located in the Chef's Guild, purchase Botanist Pies to receive a +5 boost to the herblore skill. Continuously eat the pies while you're creating the highest level extreme potion you can. These potions include:

  • Extreme attack potion (3).pngLevel 88 - Extreme Attack. Requires a Super Attack Potion and an Avantoe Herb.
  • Extreme strength potion (3).pngLevel 89 - Extreme Strength. Requires a Super Strength Potion and a Dwarf Weed Herb.
  • Extreme defence potion (3).pngLevel 90 - Extreme Defence. Requires a Super Defence Potion and a Lantadyme Herb.
  • Extreme magic potion (3).pngLevel 91 - Extreme Magic. Requires a Super Magic Potion and Ground Mud Runes.
  • Extreme ranging potion (3).pngLevel 92 - Extreme Ranging. Requires a Super Ranging Potion and 5 Grenwall Spikes.

Level 91-99

  • Overload (3).pngFrom Level 91 to 99 we will be using the same Botanical Pies found in the Chef's Guild and use those to boost to be able to create Overloads. These are by far the best XP in the game and can be made with the combination of an Extreme Attack Potion, Extreme Strength Potion, Extreme Defence Potion, Extreme Ranging Potion, Extreme Magic Potion, and a Torstol Herb.
