The Chambers of Xeric was the first Raid introduced into Old School Runescape that is composed of various puzzle rooms, monsters, and boss rooms. The difficulty of the raid is scaled by the number of players and combat levels. So the higher the combat level of the team is, the stronger the enemies will be.
Chambers of Xeric is a raid which consists of multiple boss and puzzle rooms. The raid scales up per player, increasing stats of the bosses. You can also set a custom scaling on the raid interface before you start, as well as changing the raid mode.

The order of bosses and puzzles in each mode will always be the same.

Normal Mode
The default and somewhat easier way to challenge the raid.

This mode consists of Tekton, Jewelled Crabs, Ice Demon, Lizardman Shamans and The Great Olm.

To start a raid, the leader must create a team. This team is the leader's 'friend chat'; which other players may join by manually typing in the channel's name.
Challenge Mode
This is the full raid experience. You will face off and solve every boss and puzzle in the raid over multiple floors. Boss stats are slightly increased over the normal mode.

There are two floors in a normal raid composed of puzzles/bosses and the final battle. One floor is composed of Tekton, Jewelled Crabs, Scavenger beasts, Ice demon, Lizardman shamans, and a resource room to make supplies. The second and final floor houses the final battle with the Great Olm.
Due to being the full challenge, there are unique rewards that can only be obtained from Challenge Mode: Metamorphic Dust, Twisted Ornament Kit and Kodai Ornament Kit. In addition, the Twisted Ancestral Colour Kit is more common.

Challenge Mode
* Top level: Tekton, Jewelled Crabs, Ice demon, Lizardman shamans
Chambers of Xeric/Challenge Mode
* Middle level: Vanguards, Thieving room,  Vespula, Tightrope room
* Lower level: Guardians, Vasa Nistirio, Skeletal mystics, Muttadiles

Challenge Mode is a full raid version of the existing normal Chambers of Xeric. All combat and puzzle rooms are featured and the enemies themselves have significantly increased stats. The layout of each floor is consistent throughout all Challenge modes. Challenge mode is the only way to obtain a metamorphic dust to reskin an olmlet.
Rewards
Rewards in the Chambers of Xeric are obtained by a points base system. The more damage you do, the more points you gain. Dying will reduce your points by an amount. This varies by Donator Rank, see Donator Benefits.

*Top level: Tekton, Jewelled Crabs, Scavenger beasts, Ice demon, Lizardman shamans, resource room
You gain 1% chance at a unique drop per 6,900 points. This caps at 570,000 per unique roll. Points over the cap will go towards a second unique roll, with up to 3 unique being possible per raid.
*Middle level: Vanguards, Thieving room, Scavenger beasts, Vespula, resource room, Tightrope room
*Lower level: Guardians, Vasa Nistirio, Scavenger beasts, Skeletal mystics, Muttadiles, resource room

Chambers of Xeric is a raid which consists of multiple boss and puzzle rooms. The raid scales up per player, increasing stats of the bosses. You can also set a custom scaling on the raid interface before you start, as well as changing the raid mode.

 • The custom scaling is in addition to the number of players. ie. Setting the scaling to 7 with 2 players in the raid will give you a 9-man raid.

For Recommended Equipment and Boss Mechanics, see the Strategy Guide.
