Money Making
Making money is very important due to the variety of shops Ironmen can access outside of the custom home shops. Ranging from early game gear, food, runes, and other useful tools it is important to have the funds required to purchase these items.
- Alchables: Casting the High Alchemy spell on most items will convert that item into an amount of coins. Notable alchables received from slayer include: Armor pieces, weapons, jewelry and more.
- Slayer Points: Completing slayer tasks rewards slayer points. Achieving certain task milestones, such as 10 tasks in a row, reward bonus points on top of that. These slayer points can then be used to purchase a variety of items in the slayer rewards shop. Whether you use the items you worked hard for or sell them to players for GP is completely up to you.
- PVM / Bossing: Slayer is the quickest path to follow towards end game PVM. Whether your plan is to go straight towards level restricted content such as Cerberus (91 Slayer) or Alchemical Hydra (95 Slayer), or to just train combat efficiently for other challenges, slayer is a one-way street towards any goal on the PVM spectrum.
- Herblore Ingredients: Important for the creation of Overloads, Saradomin Brews, Super Restores, and more.
- Summoning Secondaries: Crucial to the advancement of the Summoning skill, which further results in the ability to summon familiars to store items, damage enemies, and more.
- Food: A must have for any player planning on reaching endgame PVM content.
- Purchase Soda ash and buckets of sand from Ironman tutor (South of Home)
- Use Soda ash or Bucket of sand on a furnace to create Molten glass
- Click on Molten glass and ceate highest glass item you can.
- Levels 1-43: Capture Crimson swifts on the beach north of Oo'glog with a Bird snare
- Levels 43-63: Use Falconry to capture Spotted and eventually Dark kebbits
- Levels 63-77: Catch Red chinchompas with a Box trap
- Levels 77-99: Capture Grenwalls with a Box trap

Slayer
Slayer is arguably the most important skill an Ironman can train. Progressing this skill will result in the passive accumulation of combat XP, resources, better gear and Money. The following are the main reasons why slayer is such a good form of money making:
Hunter
For Ironmen, Hunter is a beneficial skill for one primary reason: Implings.
Implings offer a plethora of obtainable loot that will fill your pockets in no time.
Catching the 4 main implings: Ninja, Dragon, Crystal, and Kingly will almost always result in either instant profit or have a practical use in the future of your account.

Supply Gathering
Due to the inability to trade other players, resources such as food, skilling supplies, and more are important to gather out early on to better prepare you for future endeavors. The following resources are especially difficult to obtain as an Ironman, followed by some tips on effective methods to stock up on these items:
Skills
Crafting
Hunter
You can purchase necessary hunter tools at the Hunter shop in Yanille. Use the Teleport Nexus to get there. TIP: Unlock Huntsman before starting your Hunter training.
Prayer
This method doesn't involve any combat at all, but is considered substantially long as it involves leveling other skills to a high level.
Herblore
The first step to Herblore is obtaining the herbs necessary to make potions. The foundation for obtaining these herbs is planting their respective herb seeds into herb patches, then harvesting the herbs afterwards. After getting 38 Thieving from the stalls at home, use the teleport nexus and teleport to the Draynor Market where you can pickpocket the Master Farmer. At least 38 Agility is recommended as well for a chance to receive double loot from one pickpocket.

Summoning
Summoning is an invaluable skill to train, due to the benefits familiars provide. It is trained by combining charms, shards, a pouch, and a secondary unique to each individual familiar. However, it can be extremely tedious to gather the secondaries necessary to make pouches, progress in the skill, and eventually summon a Pack Yak and Steel Titan. The following table shows Familiars with particularly easy secondaries to obtain, followed by detailed descriptions of how to get them.
Familiar Name | Secondary Ingredient | Charm Type | Level Req |
---|---|---|---|
Spirit Wolf | Wolf Bones | Gold | 1 |
Dreadfowl | Raw Chicken | Gold | 4 |
Granite Crab | Iron Ore | Gold | 16 |
Beaver | Willow Logs | Green | 33 |
Bloated Leech | Raw Beef | Crimson | 49 |
Bunyip | Raw Shark | Green | 68 |
Iron Titan | Iron Platebody | Crimson | 95 |
Steel Titan | Steel Platebody | Crimson | 99 |
